Despite efforts by medical staff to save her, she succumbed to her injuries two days later. Police have identified the child’s father, João Pedro Santos Alves, as the main suspect. He was initially arrested in the act but was later released following a custody hearing. Authorities have since declared him a fugitive and are actively searching for him. Investigations revealed disturbing details through messages exchanged between the suspect and the baby’s mother, Alicia. In the messages, Alicia questioned visible injuries on her daughter’s head and ears.
